If you believe in any faith, religion or tradition and you like to have images or statues of your Gods or Saints or even fairies and so, put them in the Northwestern section of your home. If you wish to build a shrine or a little church inside your property make sure to put it in the Northwestern part of your land. This will give you protection for always!
